The scenery, the fishing - looked like a darn good time. Awesome report and amazing pictures. As someone stated, it looks like a shoot from a National Geographic.

awesome dozer thanks for posting and sharing all the info and pics, the fins on the brookies are awesome and the nightime shot sweet one :D

Hey Dozer. Nice thread, and pics of the country and water. Beautiful fish too. Sounds like a great trip for some "Speck love :) " I know I wouldn't overlook the pools in your pics.
As for Black Flies they are a fact of life in the north, but we have this stuff called Muskol, way better and cooler than the old netting we used to use years ago  , technology.

I've got to try fiddleheads usually I pick the few wild mushrooms that I know when speck fishing to add to the pan...
Fiddleheads usually coincide with opening day here, so I manage to bring home some on opener. This year they weren't ready where I was, but they are good.

very nice pictures but I can't believe you had snow
I was working in Stouffville a week ago and arrived at the job to find snow, not much, but some. It's Canada, we are the hardiest people in the world :)

Alfie.

Here is another fish that had some spectacular red fins. Old war scars from a previous battle with another angler.

Some of the bigger brookies you post look like they are pre- historic! This trip would be amazing, thanks for sharing!
