I have for sale 2 bamboo fly rods. Details as follows:
7' 3/4wt 2 piece bamboo fly rod - $350 OBO - Dates to early 1950s. I have used it a hand full of times, I mainly keep it stowed away because I am reluctant to use it due to fear of breaking it while im out on the water. Nice slow action, full flex. I used it with 3wt line and it loaded well enough but seemed like it could do better with a heavier line, possibly 4 or even 5wt but i have not tried those weights with this rod. Very nice craftsmanship on this rod, handmade with care. Cork grip has been custom contoured by the original user although when i was using it, it fit my hand well with no discomfort. The tip has a small bend although in my experiences it did not affect the rods action. Comes with original canvas sheath. Asking price is $350 but i am open to offers.
8'6" 7/8wt 3 piece bamboo fly rod w/ olympic reel - $75 OBO - This rod is not as special as the one above. I believe it is a mass produced rod from Olympic. Medium action rod. It is missing the largest eyelet but seems like an easy fix (i never got around to doing it myself). The rod comes with 2 tips but one tip is a little warped, the other tip is more or less true. The reel is an Olympic reel. It is click and pawl and seems it can hold heavy line with no problem. Asking price is $75 but i am open to offers.
