Hi everyone how is everybody? I was wondering if someone could help me out. I would like to go fishing soon and was wondering what happens if you catch bass unintentionally? I know they go after lures and baits that other fish do. I would release them right away, as I always do. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Welcome

There's really nothing much you can do about it.
Release them as soon as possible without injury and you'll be fine.
If you happen to come upon an area that is just LOADED with them, then it's a good idea to find another area to fish and leave them alone.

Good advice...not much you can do, just don`t target them.

You cannot avoid catching bass but at least you can do your research and try to use fish specific baits etc one example would be to use bigger lures when going after pike etc. but all in all you cannot avoid unintentionally catching a Bass out of season.

Thanks for the advice David, Frozen and Pogon, it's greatly appreciated. If I may ask where is there a good place in york region or anywhere in the general area to fish. I have some hit and miss, but mostly miss spots  . Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks again and happy fishing!
