Hey guys, me and my dad are going fishing next week, and we dont know where to go.can I get any suggestions on where to go for some good Bass fishing? Were willing to drive an hour away from Mississauga.

Most river systems in southern Ont support populations of Smallies, some just have more than others and when you find a river it requires you do the leg work to find them.
I would suggest you scan past threads in these forums because there is a very good river maybe a little more than an hour from 'ssauga. Any threads you find that mention a river that begins with the letters G R A, you might find helpful  . You will prolly find that I am the author of a few of them :) .
I can't help much with lakes as I prefer to find a river and wade it. Fish may not be biting in one spot but round a bend and the conditions change and you can find a gold mine.
Feel free to send me a PM if you have any questions.

thanks!

Two words. The Grand. Find a parking spot and wade all over and eventually you will find something. Pike, bass. I'd just come here to Cambridge and give her a go. Your 45 or so from the grand.

anyone read the regs lately--no naming rivers is the star of the show,,,

Hmm The Grand is 280km long. So I guess The Grand is one 280km spot? Honestly come on.

The no naming rivers reg is in the Salmon and Steelhead forum. I cannot find it anywhere else.
Maybe we should stop naming Lake Ontario too ??

It's not even like they said pin point on the grand where to go. Some people have given me specific details via PM's because they are very kind. Some have even offered to take me out with them!

Pretty much the answers you will get here can also be found in Google search. The rest is all about doing the legwork. All the waters that have been mentioned hold them. If I can catch bass in a small creek that's 15ft wide...
