Does any know any Good Lakes that is good for BASS fishing and maybe an hour or 2 away from Toronto?

Well Rice Lake is nearby and it's a bass factory producing many big fishes. Only thing is it's a tough lake, a lot of fishing pressure there.

Simcoe and Couchiching have some giants in their waters!! Simcoe is tough to fish as well with the pressure, but when you find them, the results are awesome.

Would you drive up to Minden area? That's up HWY 35 about 35 mins north of Lyndsey. Haliberton has some GREAT spots for small and large mouth. Eagle lake is one of them! In Haliberton there's Four major lakes that you should hit up. I forget the names but there's Eagle lake and Haliberton. They have alot of tournys up there for bass. If you go up to dorset area which is 20 mins north of Minden then I find the bass get bigger. I have a cottege up in dorset and the lakes are beautiful up there. Water is clear and alot of fat bass are there! Hit Minden up for sure tho!

Thanks for the info. I tried Rice and Simcoe Lakes already. A little too many people go there.

I will definitely try the other ones.

Thanks.

ive caught some fair size bass in scugog before aswell as sturgeon try those this year and see how you do.

I'm going to give you all my SECRET Lake the best Bass lake you will ever fish.

If you don't catch 10+ bass over 4lb each ina day I have no respect for you as a fisherman.

Its that good of a lake so I'll ask everyone to respect it and do C & R.

The lake: Lake Eugina.

Mostly Large Mouth but there is a health population of smallies.

A few smaller tournies run on this lake.

The Best bass lake by far!

******* IS IT CANOE FRIENDLY?

I'VE SEEN IT ON THE MAP AND CONSIDERED TRYING THERE.

I usuallly hit it with the cannoe me and my Bro.

There is a FREE boat lanch there also but Cannoe with a trolling motor gets me around good enough.

It's not a tiny lake but not huge either and even on the windy days you just head behind an island or into a cove and your set!

If you have a trolling motor it help as I hate to padle!

ITS FUNNY YOU MENTIONED A MOTOR,I POSTED A REQUEST FOR HELP CHOSING A MOTOR. WHAT LENGTH SHAFT IS YOU MOTOR AND HOW MANY POUND THRUST?

I WAS LOOKIN AT MINI KOTA MOTORS 40-55 LBS THEY HAVE 36 INCH SHAFTS, I DON'T KNOW IF THATS TOO LONG.
OR THE HAVE A 30LB THRUST WITH A 30 INCH SHAFT

Mini Kota thats what I have but I think mine is only 25lb thrust but I may be wrong.

I won mine in a tourney two years ago and it does the job just fine, For a boat you would want something bigger forsure!

The shaft is adjustable so you have nothing to worry about with regards to length.

As for power we are two full grown men and that 25lb thrust gets us around in a canooe no problem. The battery is more important. Deep Cycle the higher the reserve the better!

The only thing I can say is that we have to put a piece of wood between the cannoe and where the bracket attaches.

I can confirm Lake eugenia is a good lake for bass here are some pics.....
