Best fighting fish

From the fish I caught my list is:

1) Smallmout bass
2) Largemouth bass
3) Pike
4) Panfish in this order: rock bass, perch, blugill, crappie, sunfish
5) Sheephead/fresh water drum
6) Salmonoids (Steelhead, salmon, etc)
7) Catfish (mudcats)
8) Walleye (the least fighting fish)
9) Carp
10)Gobies.............lol

I was thinking about this last night and there is no way that a 15lb carp would outfight a 15lb salmon rainbow or brown.

Depends on the size and mass of the fish although bass are my favorite. In my fishing experience a huge ass carp put up crazy fight and got anyway. Pulling in a huge ass carp is like pulling in a log.

I've never tried salmon though but I think a huge tiger musky would put up the greatest fight

ill agree with one of the users it depends on the hook set and where it is tipecly any fish snaged neer the tail or back is prone to figh like crazy because there sisint much imbalancing them but hook them in the side of the head or under and they let themselves get draged in.... pound for pound as far as fish i caught ill go for carp, big bass in cold water for sure, catfish! pike walleye muskie and panfish dont seem to give me much reel peeling... my bigest muskie(didint have a scale but defenitly over 20 lbs) and pike(10 lbs) both came in like logs... thought i was stuck both times... but they were cought in shallow reletively warm water...
