What is the best month(s) for fishing pike, I prefer May/June. I find august to be the slowest and do the least fishing that month.

i think best time is when it is warmer.Look now it almost end of June and temperature is low.

Most of the bigger fish are caught in the spring and the fall when the water temperature is in the high 50's and 60's because during the summer they go deep.

yep May.This is time they finish spawning and they are hungry, but unfortunately i was not able to go this month this year.Hopefully next year

I agree with the earlier the better (in season).. the big ones are easier to get in the spring, usually once the summer hits, we just get a lot of "hammer handles"

I like any month the season is open! If in the summer you are catching a lot of hammerhandles, just move out a little deeper, the big ones are there, just need a little more coaxing to make them appear. I look for deeper weedlines close to where the little ones are hitting. Anywhere there is a faster moving water is good, like between 2 islands, is a good place to wet a line. Unfortunately, I am unable to get out there because of a screwed back, but I think about it every waking second!! Good luck out there guys, stay safe!!
