Big blue water here I come

Was inspired by a couple of guys fishing big gnarly 6 - 8 inch bunny strip flies for browns so working with what I got and some freestyling I created these. I want to hit the big blue water with these.

They are jigs, I know, but I don't own a fly rod so these will be used under a float. The larger one picture is almost 6 inches long. Hoping these will become laker and brown killers and actually catch me fish :lol: I'm pretty pumped about fishing these.

I'm picturing a 15 lb laker or brown turn from 30 ft. away and charging these, thats all I want for Christmas.

nothing wrong with dead drifting jigs i do it all the time. just make sure to twitch it a few times :grin: i might see u at the big blue next week i will be making a trip as well

Oh they will be getting action alright, one of my best days came from using a jig and plastic minnow jigging off the bottom... lost a lot of jigs :lol:

I'm hoping to get a picture of a big dirty kype with one of these jigs hanging from its yap... fishing them until I get a fish, I'm determined. Maybe we see each other down there?
