I've juat been informed that as of wed. of last week. It is unlawfull to shore fish bluffers oark. if this is true its a sad day for shore fishing. i have been watching and catching salmon and pike in there since i was a young boy. Can anyone confirm this?!? Thanks and be safe this winter ;)

Angler_Brazil and I were just there Sat night along with some other anglers. We or I did not see any "NO FISHING" signs. Who told you this, or did you see a sign somewhere that I missed?

Check the regulation. If there are no signs you can probably fish there. I've honestly have never seen anything about bluffers park on the regs

Anyone else notice that there are less than 1/4 of the salmon that there were last year and the year before? I wonder what could have caused this decrease.

Are you talking strictly at Bluffers Rainbow? That's stocked only fish right? Maybe they didn't stock as many a few years ago, I'd check with the MNR if you are noticing a huge decline.

Yes, just the bluffs. But I'm thinking it could have been because of the early runs this year on the tribs. The fish may have been tempted to go into the rivers rather than wait for the bluffs, which would actually be a good thing, but I don't know for sure if that's the case. It could have also been a problem with the stocking.

And the huge increase of fishing activity in the area...again. I remember 5 years ago when fishing was really really good that I don't have to go elsewhere to fish. I just frequent 3 spots...Rouge, Bluffs and Ashbridges and occassionally go north or go east with friends...but alone, these 3 spots are my go to places to fish. but the last 3 years wasn't so good...until last year it started to pick up. I have caught so much pike and bass there. But I've noticed the increase of fishermen. Have you been to the best spots of the bluffs lately? It is shoulder to shoulder. The only place that's not packed in there is the mouth but you have to be careful those big rocks are slippery. Lots of salmon though. Big ones. Hoping to see some steelheads soon.
