hmmmm lots of salmon eh, when i went 3 straight weekend in September - early October at petro there weren't many salmon so i guess it was a late run or are these cohos?

well like i said i only fishing one pool bcuz it had everything in there cohos and chinnys and there was nonstop action

Again, another day too late. Tough day of fishing. Went to the Petro Park around 8:00am and my friend had a hookup, but we couldn't really see what it was. The water was murky. Got a salmon that felt like a log. hah

I was working my way upstream and I was just about to get to the top of the pool when a guy came along and fished to my right. After 5 or 6 casts he landed a rainbow. Bugger...Had I worked a bit quicker, that could've been my fish.

Another fella that we spoke with at Bronte mentioned that Sunday & Monday were phenomenal days. He had around 50 hookups apparently, just to confirm Swica's remark.

Checked out Bronte & Dundas too and no trout there. There were a salmon or two holding in the middle of the fast waters, but that's about it.

lol i wasnt lying. but sunday was the best day for me at bronte ever

i went to bronte yesterday and there was tons of dying salmon and a bunch of browns too. The only action i got was when i was throwing a spinner into a pool for browns and accidentally snagged a salmon (i know i know god damn snaggers...i felt bad) after that i switched to my fly rod and tossed some roe imitation flies. Got some interest but no commitments. im gonna go back soon and bring some real roe.

Lots of people were catching fish, problem was it was way too crowded

How were the water conditions like when you went? Does it ever get clear at Bronte does it get slightly less muddy?

Bring On The Murky Water. Also I Really Really Hate Snaggers And Runners(those that wades through the water making tons of noises)

i was just rhere this morning and man i had a pretty bad day everyone was catchin bows and browns but i didnt even get one hooked on! even 6 year old got two 5 pound steelheads
