Went up to Bronte for some over night fishing, had 2 huge hits off spoons.. but missed. :p
Then one guy shows up for 20mins, and lands 3 off the same spoon/spot. *sigh*..

Seems like the salmon are there, but certainly not wanting to land on my hooks.

I hate when that happens. One time I was out with Mikey and the guy next to us hits 3 in a row.
Nothing for boith of us. :(

Maybe that proves that... pier fishing is all luck + timing? :)

Seriously... 30 spoons being casted... and that UNLOCKY fish get caught. haha

Been at Bronte the last two nights from round 1-5 each night.

Friday night was abit of action couple landed few reel screamers lost, nothing for me.

Saturday night was SLOW! One landed and one off, nothing on my line again.

It is extremely frustrating when the guy beside you has two on his line within 15 minutes and you have nothing throwing and retrieving in similar fashions... I have never landed a fish off the pier before although this is only my second year attempting and the last year I went out wasn't really alot of effort put in compared to this year.

I hate the feeling of hopeless fishing when you are just randomly waiting for a lucky strike. I've started throwing unconventional glowing lures in hopes that them seeing something different might trigger am active strike over the "right place right time" strike that seems to be for 99% of the spoon catches I see.

Completely agree - all about being at the right spot at the right time. we are headed to Port Elgin for Sept long. Hopefully the luck is better.
Have a bunch of glow 3/4 oz cleo's.. see how it goes.

Took a walk from QEW down to petro this morning. Nothing at all, only saw one carccus until i hit the slaughterhouse(petro canada park) where there were a few straglers in the pools and of course lots more carcuss(thats the stentch i remember). Maybe three live fish i saw from petro too rebecca street. Of course those three fish had about 10"anglers"surrounding the pool fishing for them. I didnt even drop a line nor was i expecting too. Fished the harbour for some bass after, managing to land a little 1lber. Stopped at the pier before i walked the creek and seems that the lack of fish being caught last night continued into the morning.
