Decided to go for some salmon tonight, went for some night fishing as it is less populated with people and it was my sons first time fishing for salmon. We had a blast. Salmon were breaking water all over the place and had a few spool us! Went down at petro can. Used roe from the hens i pulled out of bronte last year. All fish landed were male and live released but 1. My son had his first Salmon hookup ever and i couldn't tell him no he couldn't take it home to show mom and he wants to eat it.. Here are a couple of pics. Oh also land a nice speeding ticket on the way home!

Congrats--great to hear your son had his first hookup!!! I cannot tell if you started at the pier. I will be heading down to toss lures tonight. The salmon have been jumping like crazy at the pier for the last couple of weeks with some takers. Thanks
No i didn't take him to the pier as he likes to goof around a bit and knowwing him he would fall in lol. Went down at Petro |canada Park. Going up to the Nottawasaga river this weekend ill set him up for Salmon while i go hunt steelhead and try out my new float reel! At least where we go up there, there are few to no people around the area i go that noone will see me fail at learning the art of float reels as its my first one. may revert to bottom bounce if i fail too badly!

landing the salmons you have on the pics >>> landing a speeding ticket anytime any day unless you already have too many citations then i'd say start slowing down. Good catches. i'm pretty sure your son can't wait to get back and catch some more...
