Got out this afternoon, ... for a couple hours down at a local Trib.
Water clarity was a lot better, Not CLEAR, but nice.

Wasnt expecting much ... was about 3-4 other guys out.

Hit into this nice BROWN Trout

Was surprised ... Thought at first it might be a bow, then maybe a Jack Salmon ... and Finally: BROWN!
(let em go of course)

- Pink Worm

Hit a nice Steelie (Bow) about 8lbs. - No pic, was down a bit from bag & camera.
Catch & Release (pretty sure it was male as well)

- Roe

Also... caught (2) Big Male Pig Salmon - "We dont post those pics .. do we?"

*SMILES* 100% Catch & Release

As an added bonus:

Found (3) Lures:

- Mepps
-Spoon
-Rapala

And a Jar of MIKE's Eggs!

Some of the other guys mentioned some decent Bow action in the Morning as well.
Not a lot, but some good ones.

nice brown haven't cought one of them in long time to many bows to get thru

3 years since i even SAW one caught where I went!

LOL

in a "nice way" ... I would always secretly laugh at all the pinners pulling and saying "Think it was a brown"

Nice looking Brown! I sometimes find them better looking than bows. There is a lot of them in the whirlpool. Not sure why they don't show up as often in the GTA tribs?

Very nice fish, pretty black on the belly eh? Ive never had a brown like that either, just some nice 14" up river stockers. Hoping to get my first this year.

Nice brown! (I find that the nicest looking browns just make 'bows look plain and boring.)

no way, gotta love that red stripe!

It's like comparing gold to silver. Not just any gold, but gold with beautiful orange and red spots that fades into a brilliant yellow and eventually to a bright white belly.

Chromers are great but browns are in another league.

Not gonna take "sides here" ... *SMILES*

However, around 4-5 weeks ago, I was at Duffins and hit (4) browns - all on Hardware (Spinner - panther martin)
I have to say, the colours were - OUT of THIS WORLD!

Not dark at all, totally bright and glowing.
I had lost my UBS CABLE at the time, so unfortunately ... never got the pics.

But I'll I tell you, the memory is still vivid.

______ I personally dont think the browns fight as hard as the Bows .... but fall sure brings out the Beautiful radiant colours.

Browns definately look nicer I just dont think they even come close to makin a rainbow look boring, I lvoe the ones with the dark red stripe

great fish, thanks for sharing.i have never caught or seen one of those in the flesh, only on the tv.hopefully i will get one of those sometime in the future.

Nice Blair.

I think I landed over 100 browns last year on the Niagara lol..

Definitely more browns than bows around in that area :) I get sick of them by the end of the day heh..

Actually, you would be surprised how many Browns can be had at certain GTA tribs.
-Most "fishermen" don't realize it only because they are to busy chasing the Salmon around the river.

I have landed 5 browns this season and they were all so colorful..
-I really should take the time to snap pics..
