Bug Spray

True enough, I have a question for everyone, which do you prefer?
Spray on or a cream>? My wife got some crap at walmart that was more of a paste that you rub on and i have to say it seemd to outdo the muskol and was easyer to apply around the face without having your lips go numb from the deet!lol

I Prefer Spray. Had to use some last night went to check out Guelph lake the mosquitoes woundn't quit!

I heard last weekend the bugs were so bad in central Ontario, that you couldn't be outside. The only way to go was to wear one of those head nets.

Y I have one of the head nets or w/e, I remeber last summer fishing at my cottage some tourist were fishing off a dock and the sun was going down, they started pointing and laughing ect. 30mins later they were gone when the skeeters came out they couldnt handle it. I was able to get in some great topwater fishing that night and caught tons of bass.

Right now we are talking about blackflies out in full force. No amount of cream/lotion/spray will help you because there are so many right now that in 5 min outside there would be such a swarm around you, that you would be breathing them in.

I wonder if by bypassing the triple a batteries and hooking it up to a 9volt u could build a super wacker?
hmmm I thinnk im going to trying this, i may have to juice up the internal wires to hold more amps, or their might be some kind of regulator to use a certain amount of power but im sure it can be done,lol.
Ya I think im going to build somthing lol, just for fun, or for when the june bugs are out in full force

I have Off skintastic in my tackle box, I try not too use it too often, I tend to wear longsleeves, pants and light jackets to help with bugs, but don`t really like putting chemicles on my skin, so only if it`s bad out.

Believe it or not... applying catchup to your skin will stop the blood suckers.

There is something in the tomato that helps reject the bugs. Espeically the mosq.

Too bad when you apply catchup you'll look funny and smell. :mrgreen:

hmm never heard that before, I have heard that tomato juice helps get the smell of skunk out of you. But after a family dog got sprayed no matter how many cans we bathed him in the smell would not come out,
I can only imagine what ketchup would feel like after it cake's on your skin on a hot day,lol.

This might repel the mosquitoes but a bear might mistake you for a hot dog. :mrgreen:

afterbite beforebite doesn't sound right

applying afterbite afterbite would be a lot of afterbite, don't you think so ?

i guess it wouldn't be afterbite if you put it on before you get bit. maybe they should make beforebite and pair it with afterbite.

I find that afterbite when applied to a insect bite, stings when you put it on, but doesn't really do anything to help heal where the bite happened.

actually i've had good experiences with afterbite.

it stings a little but does stop the itch and the bite goes away faster.

I agree with Flash_Kid, it does sting but a bit does not itch afterwards and I have not had a problem healing later.
The stuff works great, I always have a stick in my box cause you never know when you'll need it, I got stung by a beeonce fishing, and it does help on their stings too! but so does wet mud.

wet mud? never tried that before. Kinda like the mud they use at the spas? you can exfoliate your skin and fish at the same time haha.
