Thinking about getting back to work on my pond next summer.

I really need to dig it out a few more feet, I was wondering if any one who's more mechanically inclined than I has ever constructed a home made dredge or knows of one.

I'm not intrested in paying 1000's for this to be done just a personal project build.

The beaver is doing a fine job but I think he needs a hand. And I aint sure how much longer mother will put up with him. Starting to invade the nice yard!

He can have the swamp a good 2-3 acers but I guess the trees taste better on our side :?

it's illegal to dig in an allready existing body of water but one thing you could do(i'm not sure if you need a licence for this) is dig a seperate pond next to it and conect them with a trench(i don't think this would count as digging in a pond :? )

by the way i forgot to add that unless the pond that you make(if you make one) will drain out unless it is waterproofed with brick or clay, i'm sure you could find some stuff on this on youtube

Man made long ago just not the bestm on my property so if they got a problem they can come see me and buy that part of land off me.

Sounds kinda interesting what your talking about. I've operated a bob cat and forklifts before and know the basic understands, if that helps you. Keep posted.

wouldn't it be great if we held a fund raiser on the website and someone got a licence to build and stock a pond with fish like bass or perch, but we would also need someone willing to let us use some land

Porter86 whats it cost to rent something like that for say a weekend?

How far out and deep can the arm extend just a rough estimate please.

How much, not a clue. I used it at the pool company i worked at for a couple months. It all depends on the size of the bobcat. the one we had went down maybe 6/7 feet. it was just an attachment, remove the bucket n add the backhoe

Best thing to do, would be find a Stephenson rentals or another heavy equipment rental place. A1, which might be Stephenson now.

You might need someone licensed to rent one, best bet is to call and ask, if they ask company or not, say company. and think up a name before hand i'd suggest.

you know they would probably check to see if the company exsists, and how big of a hole would you plan to dig

Not really. not all company's are registered so all the would do is take all your info, so hed just say his addressee n what not, n yeah.
