with a motor? I think it is made of fiberglass not aluminum, I might have to confirm this though. What motor mount can i find for this length of canoe. Any suggestions?

DO NOT PAY $599.00 FOR THIS CANOE.......IT WILL GO ON SALE.......USUALL SALE PRICE IS $499.00

I BOUGHT THE SAME CANOE LAST YEAR WHEN IT WAS ON SALE FOR $399.00.IT WAS NEAR THE END OF THE SEASON. THE CANOE IS SOME FORM OF PLASTIC.I'M LOOKING INTO A ELECTRIC TROLLING MOTOR MYSELF, BUT AS FAR AS I CAN TELL MOST MOTOR MOUNTS ARE UNIVERSAL.

I think a universal canoe motor mount will work, you might even be able to make your own mount. Are you thinking electirc motor or gas? 2.5hp 4 stroke gas motors are cheap now you can pick one up for $799. which would be almost 4 times as powerful as a 55# thrust electric motor.

I never liked they plastic canoes there slower and have far more drag that fiberglass!

For that shape stick to Electric motors but if your going to go higher something gas defiantly invest in a flat back canoe!

My next upgrade for my canoe will probably adding a motor myself. I've seen some people add an electric motor directly to the side of the canoe or using a side mount.
