All of them caught using corn. Chum the area with 2 cans and wait for the sound of my drag lol.

Caught 4 of those using a Perch kind of tackle hehe. 6 lb on a light action rod, managed to land all 4, each around 8-12 lb. took a bit of time though but man was it fun . They seem to run twice with yor line, after that, they give up and surface

Im currently using 10 lb spiderwire Mono. Got a spool of 30 lb Easy braid but i havent used it . Bought it just in case but i havent had a issue with my 10 lb, Only lost 1 fish out of almost 10.
Thanks for the comments. Carp are smelly guys but Great fight for the amount of time you have to wait.
We only fish catch and release, Really want the big guys to keep getting bigger and that cant happen if were keeping these guys.

Who uses 100lb??? I wont touch anything less than 200.

Who keeps the carp anyways? Not a good thing I should say, becuase they are invasive and whatever stream/lake they have been introduced into, they have domainated within a few years, and sweep the eggs of other species. People keep the more scarce species so why not carp. Nobody wants the buggers though that's why I think not too long, we all be fishing only carp!

And they smell less than the fall salmon.

In the first picture you see a old Asian couple approaching us. They wanted to buy the carp and take it home lol. I wouldnt let anyone eat that .
