went fishing on a creek last saturday, it's sad but many "fishermen" were fishing with bare hooks..
mentioned to one of them that it's illegal, but I was just ignored...
And again, those guys were shouting "fish on" quite many times...

best chance with hooking a salmon right now are flies...particularly buggers and streamers...brown and steelhead you will have better chance of hooking with roe or egg pattern flies...last year this early I was catching steels and brown already. but then again the salmon run last year came early too.
