Caught a Pike Yesterday

Nice! What's your go to bait if you don't mind me asking. Mine by far is an x rap for pike

oh i just use any jerk bait or big crank bait i have lying around. mine don't have feathers on the end though. but i've lost as many lures this summer as pike caught so i just throw on the next one lying around in my tackle box.

And for the record that would have to be an extremely fat pike to be 10+ lbs, probably more like 8. Still a nice catch!

that's rather unfortunate.

I considered mercy killing it but I let it go !! I don't think it would spread to other fish in the water but maybe I should have taken it UoG for studying

That's a nice macho looking pike but I'm sure you'll catch much bigger ones in your life time "Christopher K".

Nice fish kleiner! just a heads up it's better to support the fish under the belly as well,so you don't hurt the fish, especially a fish of that size, not to nag just trying to keep the populations going
