Looks like cdn has some deals on matzuo lures, a spinning combo, bug spray etc...

Has anyone tried these matzuo lures before?

1 ? about CDN tire, why do they lock up the fishing line and leave all the lures on the shelves?

The lures are worth more than the line yet the line has to be unlocked from the cabinet for you to get ought!

That was the Eglington and Caledonia store in T.O maybe it's just this city but I don't remember stores being like this up north!

I was just at a cdn tire store in mississauga yesterday, the line was not locked up and from what I remember all the cdn tires in my area the line isn't locked either.
 
I was also at canadian tire two days ago and the line was not locked up. the only thing locked up were some of the more expensive reels.

I found Mustad jig wide gap hooks with movable weights on sale. it was a 3pk for $3 reg price was 7.99 or something like that. I picked up the last pack at that store. Leslie and Sheppard. since the weight was movable up and down the shank i figured i give it a try. also bought a pack of Matzuo tubes already on the jigs. figured i could always use the jigs after the tubes are done.
 
You can get some pretty good deals on stuff that's on sale at Canadian tire but with out the sale, the price is expensive.
 
good deals on the stuff. matzuo makes some really good fishing lures and tackle! i have a few things by them, and i can;t say anythin but good things!
 
Ya I have quite a bit of stuff of theirs too, never had a proble with quality, Cndn tire does have some good sales, but nothing beats the BPS. man if i worked their i would have no money ever, spending $300 when i go their once every couple months is easy enough.

I like em too, nice action, But i find Canadian Tire`s selection is sucking as of late, or maybe it`s just my Canadian tires, both downtown Toronto. But i have found there stocks lacking!
 
Ya i think it might be your stores, being downtown I think that they would not have a ton of stcok on hand because the stores are not that big. Not sre exactly but i do know my two stores up here have 3 isle's and their wall to wall.
 
i agree that crappy tire is lacking in stock but also they aren't a specialized fishing store. they have enough to get you started though. i think thats what they are aiming for.
 
True enough, I dont know any other store other than Walmart that someone with no gear who wants to get into it can go with $50 and get a pole and a tackle kit, and pretty much everything the need for their first trip out. They also has some good bargains on the $35 reel/rod combo's, I bought a Orange combo for my wife last year and she loves it, just a six footer, but she's reeled in a 20pound carp on it, and tons of catfish/bass.
She loevs anything with colour, pink/blue w/e dowsnt matter as long as its different from other peoples,lol.

ur right Mclean.I like Walmart better then cdn tire.last summer my bro got rod/reel combo with mix bass lures.it was great.works also good.plus thier price is also good
 
Ya I find that for the most part Walmart sems to have alot of the newer lures compared to Cndn Tire. I see quite a bit of newer baits or the gulp products their, compared to cdn tire, they dont update their section very often, and they never have the sales that walmart has. But w/e nothing beats the bps,lol

BPS is better if you know exactly what you're looking to get where as walmart and crappy tire you can find some nice deals once in a while just browsing the store.
 
ya when i was at bps the first time i went in thinking i need some pike spinners, and after coming out and filling a new tackle box i bought, I realised i grabbed everything but the spinners i went their for.Theirs sooo many deals in their its easy to get distracted. My wife said i did it on perpose phycologicallly so we would have to go again, but i dont know.....Maybe i did,lol.

No, and who could,lol. My wife loves the BPS and the first time we went their she was going to go look through the mall at all the other stores. I had to call her on her cell phone after i searched for her for about an hour and found out she was still at BPS,lol. She had filled a cart aswell and I knew then that another trip would not be a problem!,lol.

I have only been to Bass pro shop once, and it was opening weekend, so it was packed, and I was broke so it wasn`t all that exciting. I would love to go back though, on a day when no ones around and I can just walk the isles with ease! ohhh and fists full of cash! would be nice
