I would say that it is more your casting technique than the line itself.
If you do any type of pull cast, you'll see that line twist is not as much of an issue. Side casting with the spool not spinning does result in noticeable line twist.
I always run 10lb Raven mainline and do not use a swivel above my float.
For the first few drifts of the day, I will notice some memory in the line (from being on the spool), but that goes away quickly.

thanks guys im gunna give it a try. im running 0.26-0.23-0.18mm tomorrow
as far as the siglon f i found the ten# strong as heck. it does still twist, but i have found it not as bad as some, and is still fishable when twisty. on the weekend my buddy was stuck and ran XL and by noon he was stripping half of it off.
i have a different technique for getting the twist out. i made up a "swivel line" its a five foot piece of 20# braid with five or six bb swivels of different sizes. tie it to your mainline, then on the bumper of your car. i let out some line and reel it back in between pinched fingers a bunch of times. i start at ten yards and increase each time till im pretty far, then start decreasing each time. its not perfect but almost. only takes ten minutes when the swivel line is already built and saves it from the clippers for a couple outings
