That's crazy! It must've been fun fighting them on light tackle.

A couple buddies went out on saturday and they told me they never seen so many people fishing on pike opener.

I was one of those people walking the shores lol
Definitely more boats than ever and a kayak fishing tourny...managed to land 2 myself and a buddy I was with landed 1. Got a few more follows and pike sitting inches from my lure but couldn't get them to commit. If you're right about water temps another week of sun should do it. At 55 degrees they spawn so there maybe another opportunity to catch some big females. The water levels were lower than I've ever seen in the past not sure why. If anyone knows please comment.

I am notorious for finding good sized gators on light line. Fishing last year with a Bass Magnet Tinsel tube on 10 lbs Sunline FC for smallies and that was my result. Best part was I got it on a lake that didnt have many pike. Seymour.
