Here is the review:

Guy in Mississauga has 8 of them left in stock. They are $50 each brand new and run on 4 AAA batteries.

Worth it?

Most spots that I fish, it's pretty much useless extra work. But for fishing new, deeper spots, or spots where I am unfamiliar with the depth, I could see its use.

Guys ice fishing with fish finders this season - please give me some input how often you actually find it worth the hassle of setting up and drilling extra hole for etc.

If I forgot my fish finder I would almost want to turn around and go home lol...almost. These days I drill alot of holes when I get to a spot and dunk the fish finder through all of them looking for baitfish and drop offs. That fish finder might allow you to get by with marking depth and baitfish but I don't think it would work for rising fish off the bottom and teasing them up the water column to take your jig. It doesn't look like it would be able to mark a jig either.

For the money a kijiji deal like this will go much further.

my buddy tried this unit last year and he did not like it, end up selling it losing some money. will go for a better unit this year.

Take efkas word on this type of stuff... he's quite knowledgeable and has the experience. He's really good at catching sunfish, rock bass and gobies too

That unit can also be used above the ice by first pouring some water to ice the transducer to the ground I.e. You don't have to drill a hole every time. . Not sure if that's a common feature to all sonars.
Haven't tried mine yet. Figured what the hell for fifty bucks
