Chugging plugs and spitfire

I have some chug lures (some really big) and Bill Lewis spitfire lures, I was wondering what the correct way to use them is ? Do you just real them in or use them like a popper or hula popper or walk the dog type ? ,Also what type of fish they work best for ? Pike ? ,Any help/tips would be greatly appreciated thanks in advance

Thanks but I was kind of wondering how to work the lure once its out in/on the water whats the proper retrieve to work them ?

Fish them like a popper, but with longer twitches of the rod to give a 'chugging' motion. The lure in the last picture looks like it would do well fished with shorter jerks like you would work a popper. Try different retrieves, incorporating longer pops, shorter pops, and longer/shorter pauses in between pops until you start catching fish. Those lures should work well for bass (LM and SM), pike, muskie, and any other fish that feeds on baitfish near or on the surface.

original chug bug and new chug bug madflash have very different rattle noise.
I prefer the original. I have other lures that can do what the mad flash do, much better.

Also for best action and no tangle, try to use 14+ lbs mono. These baits were actually designed to be used with mono. If your on a lake where there are pike I can see you using heavier mono.
