Ray and I ventured out Sunday afternoon for a couple of hours . Cool , grey skies and few fish hitting .
We managed one drop back hen at the first hole and then on to another with a couple of shakers taking interest .
I was drifting a hole at the top of a long run and my float was almost bumping against the bank , when it vanished from sight .
The water exploded and a fat , fresh hen flew out of the water . I knew she was fresh from the lake because of her raw power and snow white belly .
A few pics , let her rest in the shallow water and then she bolted back in the hole .
