Lots of good info coming out here folks. I'm glad i started this thread(Insert appropriate smiley here!)

You would be AMAZED at how many Bows are Hanging out right at the mouths.

Especially in the Late fall - Early winter.
Sure, lots of them are making the Runs up ... but theirs also tons of them feeding on the wash out and sticking to the deeper water.

It's more of a traditional "STATIC" fishing, but well worth the effort.
On the GIN CLEAR- LOW WATER days at the Tribs ... give going to the mouth a try.

That makes sense. I guess most of them are waiting for the bus you might say i.e the next rain.

By 'static' I guess you mean the kind where folks have a big tall rodholder and a big egg sinker on their line and just sit waiting for fish,. I've see lots doing that on the first few kms of the Notty. I guess I should give it a try as it seems to work, but it looks boring.

Yes it can be productive and yes it is very boring. If you are with a group of friends and catching up on their latest BS than it can be tolerable, but otherwise I ,personally , will pass on this every time.

What I used to do is dig a hole in my back yard large enough for either syrofoam cooler or plastic box. Put the worms in and take when I needed. As long as they are shaded they'll be fine, just have to make sure it's deep enough.

I'll get them next spring. Thanks.

Thats a great idea, and in the Winter ... should be fine.
Spring, Summer & Fall ... you really have to watch out for the ANTS!

If they find the "Worm Box" its toast.
(learned that one from personal experience)

In a "Perfect world" if you have a BEER FRIDGE (Old one) out in the garage or something ... that would be awesome.
Just keep it at cool setting (Not super Cold).

Worms eat alot of stuff: Compost, Scraps ....
Typically in our back yards/gardens are DEW WORMs. The smaller Red ones are real good as well.

ps; YOU GOT WORMS!

"Change of Scenery every now and then"

Depends what your doing while your waiting for a strike.
Having a cold beer , saying hello to "Bob Marley"... eating a sandwich... all work for me.

Variety is the spice of Life!

"Static" means dropping a line in the water (Tight Lines) and then waiting. Doesnt have to be with any particular setup.
Good ole fashion fishin with a worm.

I enjoy the stalk and chase ... but just droppiing a line in and waiting has been going on for about, I'd say 1 million years.
Seems to work well.
