Was anyone fishing the tribs today?? If so, was it all slushed up or frozen over??? I know it started to slush up bad during Saturday afternoon's "mini-blizzard".
PM me if you don't want to post publicly. (I would really appreciate someone saving me the long drive if it is unfishable)
Thanks.

It's been minus 15 for the last 2 days. Take your cue from that. I was in a western area last Thursday, and there was some slush starting and it was much warmer, so there you go!

There is what I would consider fishable slush and unfishable, and it is sometimes difficult to predict merely based on temperature (unless you're really familiar with a river, I guess). Yesterday, for example, I was walking my dog along the Grand River north of Kitchener. I would have thought, given the temps, the river would be totally frozen over or super slushy. There was slush, for sure, but the water was fishable. If steelhead existed in this part of the river, and the season was open, I certainly could have given it a shot!

I have fished slushy waters on many occasions. Your post asked if there was slush. I merely replied that given the temps over the last few days there will most definately be slush. Wether it's fishable by now?? It was onThursday! Speed river in Guelph is a slushy mess this morning, where it is usually fairly free flowing even in cold weather, if that gives you any indicators! Myself, I would look to river mouths or large river systems in these conditions!
