I fished this tuesday north 403 and hooked into 3 chromers on the fly rod. Nothin big maybe 2-3 lbs but surprised to see fresh fish. Even couple shakers. Had to really search though.

it can get a little frustrating. but think of the reward when you finally land one.

i remember i spent one season without catching anything. no salmon, no steelhead.

got a little frustrating. but i find that it gets easier each season. this is my first spring season and ive lost two hook ups and packed my rod waiting for the fall.

darn, that must be some FAT trout! Formula for calculating the weight of a fish is: (Girth^2 x Length) / 800= approximate weight of fish

So if the fish were about 10 pounds (given that the length is 22 inches), the girth would be around 19 inches. lol That's nice round bow. lol

It's definitely hard to make estimates when one doesn't have anything to measure, but I had to make this comment. lol

If the length is correct, I'm guessing the girth being, at most (realistically), around 13-15 inches. That would put the fish around the 4.5 to 6 pound range. Nice catch nonetheless.
heres a pic..
