Yes, that is what I said. Britannia north to the 407 is open. Britannia south to the 403 is closed which would include Streetsville. All you need do is look at openfires open season maps at the beginning of the Steelhead and Salmon fishing sub-forum which we are on right now.Don't want to disagree but I'm sure the reg says its extended season from britannia rd to south side of 407. Dec.31 closing.
To tell you the truth Devin, not much has changed at Erindale Park in 35 years when it comes to fishing. It is just too accessible and everyone and their brothers go there, not unlike Petro Canada on the Bronte at all.i hope that not all the fish get caought up in the dam. i live 1 min from the river north of britania and would love to take a walk and do soming pinning.. but alfie ur right about the erindale situation in my opinion.. i have yet to catch anything.. recently ive seen many anglers but catch nothing (often) well there is alot of presure accosiated with that area.

Personnally I like to fish a stretch of river that is not crowded, even when I am with friends we all split up and I may not see them for an hour or 2.
If you're near Britannia, Devin there is some good water to work north to the 407. GL my friend.
Alfie.
NP. Bronte also has good spots that are open now and not congested, Petro Canada Park is just not one of them. We have been getting nice 'Bows and Browns from the 407 on down.hey thanks alot bro. i really appreciate it, i was going to ask you how bronte is. i have not been their befor but i do know it is close by. ill prolly go for a walk soon and see the credit. thanks alot again
...DEV...
Erindale sucks IMO. No holding water for fish, no "pools/holes" its chutes and long drift waters.. I know lots fish get caught there.. Lots fly fisherman..
Not my cup of tea in Erindale thats for sure..
this is funny  maybe you are one of those fisherman wearing using expensive stuff and don't catch anything at credit lolz because i saw a lots of fisherman at erindale wearing and using expensive rod and center pin but end of the day they dont catch anything, maybe you looking in wrong spot at credit river, there's a lot of honey hole there and very good spot you must search them carefully, and you must used foot work to find them, im new in float fishing but credit river never delude me for catching some salmon/bows
don't blame on credit because its miles miles river and everyone can access on it!! its about in luck and patience and how your set up, there's no one in credit river when there's snow or very cold weather no one can disturb you when you like to fish alone at the river, this is my personal experience on credit my advice is
1) you must have patience when you fish if you don't have patience fishing hobby is not for you
2) you must used foot work walking on the river find a honey hole or dead fall tree at the water 80% there's fish always bows like to hide on dead tree on water thats my personal advice
3) if you don't catch anything you have another time to fish dont blame on river's its a matter also of LUCK!!
4) be friendly share the river in other people if someone is there, because i saw a lots of fishermen when they start casting on your spot they trying to occupied all the spot and trying to kick you out in the spot,
i hope it will help some people with these peace
Salmon and Trout got upstream long before any fish ladder, 1975 to be exact. The fish ladder at streetsville is kept closed most of the time for the majority of the fall because they do not want the salmon going further upstream and the MNR uses the ladder to harvest the eggs.
Fishin credit is tough but like ex0or said if u put lotta leg work/learn to read the water where fish like to hold u will catch fish. Erindale is a good place to start but problem is to many people fish it that's why fish get spooked very easily, but there is plenty of water for everyone people just need to do more leg work and find spots that re not pressured so much.

Not "Callling out anyone" cause believe me: Unfortunately there is some misiterpreted, or wrong or "Grey Zone" info out there.
Garfield is correct on this one.
[/color]I love the CRAA and there good work, however ... I must say that i have come across "Wrong Info" with them before as well.
No one is perfect, and I'm sure there are some mistakes for all.
(Dont get me going on their "Stats"... *SMILES* They DO GREAT WORK! .. but on the "Stats" i have to raise an eyebrow or 2)
