Dam Rain coming

Dam, weather network said on Dec 5th its going to be Plus 8 with 10 MM of rain coming in Muskoka. Thats going to kick the hell out of what little ice we have, then after friday to monday all plus 1 or 2, Ice will be unsafe for abit, So be safe People and stay off till it freeze back up

i dont think the rain is going to be all that bad, should just melt the snow thats ontop of the ice and then its gonna re freeze as white ice ontop. ill be back up north tuesday, will report on ice conditions

its unfortunate but not as bad as you're thinking. Its positive from now up until friday morning, from friday morning on temps are in the negatives. Snow on the ice will melt and some soft ice will melt but this wont touch the black ice.

hope you are right Nado, I woudl really like to get out soon and try for Perch, on a side note I just got some ice picks from walmart. being 350lbs early ice is scary and without picks I am not very smart, so I spent the 9 dollors and grabed a set. Early ice I ALWAYS fish with someone with a rope tryed to each of use, but picks will help getting out faster and easyer.

December 5th it really was 10 degrees out and I was standing on 5" of black ice in the muskoka area. Weather was great, ice was solid, but if only the fish were biting! lol Only got a few
