Headed out this morning before class and got to the creek around 715. Tossed my line in and float sinks! Set the hook, felt a few tugs and the hook came out. Tried drifting it again and halfway through the pool, fish on! Landed a nice chrome. Drifted a few more times, and got a few more hits but couldn't land them. Oh well still had an awesome 45 minutes!

Walked a bit downstream and tried my luck, but nothing. I see other fishermans landing nice sized chromes though. The creek was full of them today! I guess yesterday's rain helped a lot. Left around 10 for school. Great day!

Happy fishing guys!

EDIT: Here's a picture I took. Since I was alone it was hard for me to take a decent picture while keeping my camera clean. First shot, it started to flop around second shot it ended up all muddy, so I gave up since I didn't want to keep it out of the water any longer.

Rain does amazing things

I went out this morning too for about 3 hours by myself. Went 10 for 11 and missed a ton of other hooksets, it was wild. Between me and 3 others fishing the same pool, there had to be 40+ fish landed in that time period. I had 3 double headers with another gentleman fishing near me.

Also got a chance to break in the new set up after getting skunked yesterday

Wow .. the "new guy" to STEELHEADING ... and he's not letting the CONDITIONS (Cloudy water) STOP him from getting out.
Well done!

Glad too hear that you have LEARNED MORE than some guys NEVER DO.
*SMILES*

Keep up the great attitude and fishing when you can.
Thanks for update and report.

Haha actually I don't like fishing in clear water because I tend to skip every hole (without knowing it) where I cant "see" a fish. With the cloudy water I try everywhere. I need to get it through my thick head the fact that because i don't see them doesn't mean they're not there!

Awesome pictures CJR! Maybe we saw each other this morning without knowing it haha. We should definitely head out together one day! And drag Blair along :)

Good job guys...today should've been a great day to get out.
I'll try my luck tomorrow morning...maybe end up sharing a drift with one of you :)

Nice fish!
-You lucky sob's!

I am hoping to be sick tomorrow.. *sniff*
If you guys are all fishing the east tribs.. We may all share a drift!

Aha the rain turned that hole right on, good to see you got some fish, looks like that fresh skein was of some help. I'm gunna have to molest that place tomorrow lol.

yeah thats an anchor of a fish forsure, gotta love lake o steel, not as pretty as GB fish though. any one seem to notice the huge fish have a hump near the dorsal i think this is a genetic marker as you can see it on smaller fish that are big for thier length allthough not as pronounced

Definitely, here you go, fixed it for you  The picture doesn't doesn't do this fish justice, it was a TANK.
