Hey Guys,
I'm tryin' to start a small catfish operation to go with my fruit and veggie farm. I have a two acre pond that's part of a big clean swamp in Grey County. I want to stock some native bullheads or maybe channel cats but I just can't find an Ontario source. Would anybody know where I could get some fingerlings or could somebody trap me some adults? I'm willing to pay a fair amount and I've done the research and know that I've got a good spot.
Any tips or advice would be great.
Thanks

There is a pond in St.Catharines beside the Brock university with full of Bullhead Cats.If you PM me I can write you the exact location.

If you want big catfish, I would not get bullheads as I've never seen a bullhead bigger then 1 lb. I would get channel cats.

You don't need to pay anyone to get them for you, lots lots lots of places will have cat fish, just dont know your area well and if you catch em you get the fun of fishing. :D Good luck.

Send todaraba a pm.

I wouldnt be transfering fish from one body of water to an other. Like stated in O.P a hatchery or wholesaler maybe the route to go..
