Hi guys,
was fishing for pike the last little while and after I started making my own casting spoons, I am really getting into trying to make what ever imaginable myself. SO drifter float for pike? Anybody made those or maybe a carp float with a sail for visibility. Your expert advice would be appreciated.
After searching the internet for first tries I would give it a go to just stick a kebab stick through a cheap red/white ball float, 1 or 2 poker cards, paperclip, nailpolish (what kind a grease do you use for your line) and give you an update once tested. Once I know how to use it and know what I want, I probably would upgrade the materials to 1'' balsa dowel and maybe a spinner wire or so.

got your 2 cents, drop em here thx

what i would do is for a small one, use a ping pong ball and skewer it with a piece of metal from a metal hanger take a piece of orange cardpaper for the flag, then bend back the end of the metal wire and put a treble ring on it and from that put a wire leader and off of that a treble for the bait, ill try and get a sketch for ya if you'd like if my description doesn't make sense

Worth a try! Just wondering how lonf the ping pong ball would last and how easy water might get in there? HAve you usedthe described set up?

I've tried it, i have a vice and saw and the whole works at home so what i did was use a vice to hold the ping pong ball and used a 2mm drill bit to drill through it then i forced the hangar through the ball and sealed it up with tile sealer, lasted me until a pike bit trough it lol
