Do I Need To Oil My Baitcaster Out Of The Box

Hey there guys

Wondering if i am going to need to oil my baitcaster right out of the box before i even use it.
If it helps it might be a Abu Garcia blackmax.

I my opinion it is not compulsory but it definitely would not cause any damage. After all oiling your reels is extremely relaxing activity.

Nope not necessary. Depending on use, you can oil after every fishing season. I get all my gear professionally serviced every 2 years. All my reels are Shimano so I send them directly to Shimano for service/maintenance.
