Do you keep fish?

I personally dont keep any fish. I dont eat fish, so there is no sense of keeping them. Im purely a sport fisherman. Just wondering what the general consensus is.

I don't keep any either, sometimes tho depending on who ever is with me they might keep a few.

I eat my fish, if I feel like it. Then again, sometimes I feel like having a Filet-O-Fish instead.

I tend not too keep fish as well...I don`t really eat fish unless it`s from a fish and chippy, and deepfried(Halibut)...or if I am camping, and a catch a shore lunch then yes I will keep it, but otherwise I am just out for the sport.

I feel the same about all sports fish. In my opinion, the fishing we will enjoy tomorrow depends largely on what we catch and release today!

It really depands on the species too.
Some are stocked (like lake trout in Simcoe) so, keeping one once and a while is no big deal. Now people who keep Muskie,,well thats a personal preference but I wouldnt do it.

But , in general; I dont keep any myself.

All C&R but then again I don't eat fish.

I figure there like a giant filter storing up all the chemicals in our environment.

Big fish eat the smaller fish build up the toxins.

If you have to check to see if it is safe to eat fish from any given lake that tells me something is seriously wrong.

My thought is: let the trophies go so some else catch them and eat the small ones. But it's been a while since I have kept a fish, usually I only keep trout or walleye.

When I fish for bass, I am reluctant to keep them because any of the larger fish usually take at least 10 years to grow that large. I am more likely to take a fish that has been stocked.

more of a tradition thing I guess, but every spring for opening walleye, we usually rent a small cabin on the Bay of Quinte for the weekend. I'll keep a few walleye we catch opening morning to have walleye and eggs when we get back after fishing... mmmmmm....

that's pretty much it I guess, I don't keep any bass and the summer trout I get in the creeks are oh so tiny..

let the hawgs go though, that's for sure..
