Been pretty busy lately with school, but managed to free up some time this morning and head out to the local Heart Lake in Brampton. Very slow start. Had 1 blew up on my frog at around 1pm. Fought it for a good 20 seconds, and then my line snapped on me. 3 hours in, feeling a bit frustrated, when suddenly my spinnerbait felt like it hit a brick wall! Thought it was a sunken log, but what the heck, set the hook anyways...Oh man! It was a bass, and it felt big!!. 15-20 seconds later, I get a glimpse of how big this bass was.....
Scaled in at 4.75lb! Wow! PB for me...
BUT! Not even 1 minute later...my friend sets the hook on what he said felt just as big. And sure enough.....
This one beats me!!!! 5.05lb!!
After all the fun and laughs, we decided to head back to the dock, as we had to return the boat. On the way back, we passed by a shaded area where I just felt a hunch. Stopped the boat and casted a Chartreuse Strike King Spinnerbait. *Reeling, reeling, reeeling...then...*Thud* Thud * and my line starts to go. I set the hook, and woweee here we go again!!! 10 seconds into the fight, I realize....THIS FISH IS BIG!!! It decides to take itself under the boat twice, and I had to let the drag loose on my Curado as I thought the line was going to snap. I gave it about another 15 seconds before I tightened the drag and started to reel again. This hog didn't want to give way!!! It felt like I fought this thing for a good minute, and this was why...
6.42lbs!!!!! Broke my PB twice in one day!!!
Man what a day. Never thought I would be able to pull out such big Bass so close to the city. Cheers!
