Evergreen Brickworks fishing, getting harassed a lot

Id do it.

I was shopping at the loblaws superstore one time, buying tuna.
this lady walks out to me and starts giving me this attitude saying " you know how many dolphins die a year in those tuna nets! Its probably mostly dolphin meat in those cans!"

I looked at her and smiled " mmmmm dolphins are delicious" and walked away.

I feel bad for their kids...going to be cry babies in the future that won't be able to handle anything....they think the meat at the grocery stores grows on the shelf?

Oh? never seen this before, but have heard some interesting remarks from people when I was buying hotdogs.

people are idiots, and its usually the more opinionated they are the less informed as well, best bet is to either let it go and keep fishing, or tell them to get lost and that they're harassing you.

I'm glad to never have experienced anything like that, I try to avoid conflict in general and especially when I'm fishing but I could see myself getting mad if this happened to me, also the situation usernamehere had with his bass, that's just ridiculous.

I would almost want to kill the catfish right in front of her and her children out of spite, then proceed to clean it edit: almost, i wouldn't want to upset children just because their mother is and idiot, but I wonder how she'd react if someone did this
Maybe I should kill a sunfish on purpose and feed it to the snapping turtles there. I wonder if that'l rage them.

Happened again yesterday.

A couple was walking their dog, and I was holding up a goldfish up to the light to photo it (was nice golden color, pic below :p). Man, I swear the woman was going to unleash her dog on me.

her - "Is there a good reason you are holding up that fish?"
me - "ya, im taking a pic"
her- "are you going to eat that?"
me - "(thinks: wtf? eat a goldfish?) No, im just fishing for fun"
her - "If you arent going to keep it, dont fish ok? You are stressing out the animal for your own amusement"
me - "............pardon?"
her - "im going to take a picture of you and report this to the management. People are torturing these animals and hooking them just for fun"
me - "...........ok?"

This was one of the more amusing harassment iv encountered.

I guess im used to the harassment now, but some of these people are downright hilarious.

I promised myself I wouldn't comment on this thread, but me thinks there might be some exaggeration/story telling going on here if you know what I mean.

You must be one of those lucky ones who never run into trouble while fishing. I can see why you doubt some things if you never experienced it yourself. Hope you never have to.
