Hey someone gifted me an old Algonquin salmon rod, Its fiberglass and i think its from the 70s or 80s. It was originally meant for a spinning reel setup but, for some reason your able to mount a spinning reel and flip the mounting around for a caster type reel. So I have a caster type reel on it and I was wondering if anybody was able to add a few more eyes to the rod to make it suitable for this type of setup? I really do like the rod and want to use it this way.

Check out some of the vids on youtube...pretty simple re-building your rod...get a new set of guides (perfect your thread wrap on an older rod first). Nice winter project...

I don't have one of those things that hold the rod and spin it though :( .
