Thought I would start a post for all the F1 fans on this site, I love F1 have been following it for years... been to the Montreal GP every year for the last 10 yrs . So just thought it would be nice to have somewhere to talk about this amazing racing series.

So finally, Ferrari has got rid of Massa, I my mind a great move for the team. I believe this seat will be filled with Kimi who will defiantly be a great asset and will push and challenge Alonso.

the seat has been filled by the ice man...the two best drivers in F1 today--that coupled with the new turbo activity going on the podium will be al red next year bu makr my words KIMI will beat Alonso...

bro I also have been to F! in montral as well as the A1 ring in hungary, Monaco and hockenheim--unreal sport..and shumacher was a spoon fed baby...

we should get together at WEGZ in woodbridge for a racec one time..maybe the last race of the season..

That is sweet Remy, you are very lucky, would love to go to Spa and see a race, the "old" tracks are still my fav's. The new track do produce some good racing but there is some thing about racing through the country side.

Kimi and Alonso will be a awesome combo, Alonso is a very smart racer as is Kimi, hope fully this will put a stop to the continuous Red Bull / Seb victories.

I also think the combo of Honda and Maclearn will be very good, just hope they bring back the old red white paint job.

Yeah all the fish/F1 boys would be a good time.

I was actually at the race when Gilles made history...not only the first Canadian to win a Gran Prix, but he did it at home! After the race everybody thought they were and him and the roads were NUTZ!

And signed Kimi!!!
aye signing kimi is probably the best thing for ferrari, in recents they've been facing stiff competition from mercedes and especially lotus

So any predictions for this weekends race ? After second practice Vettel and redbull look fast again.

Nuther one here. I have always loved BMW cars so I have lost a little interest since the demise of that team. I want a Z4 to take me to my fishing holes.
When Jacques killed Shu to take the title was the ultimate. Dad Gilles got me started tho, I used to have a bunch of the boys over at my place early Sundays for the races LOL.

Alfie.

I know Jimmie Johnson and racer Dick Trickle. Not F1, how did they get in this thread? F1 drivers can turn left as well as right.
As for Nascar, can I just watch paint dry instead?

Alfie.

Started watching F1 since 2011, went to my first race in Montreal this year, and I can tell you this it was a totally different experience... in a good and bad way. Good... love watching motorsports live and spending the time with the GF there was a plus. The bad.... I was in the general admissions and everyone was pushing each other for a better view.

But since this year was a Guinea pig event I'll most likely get grandstand tickets next year. Does anyone know if the venue sells grandstand tickets for Sunday race alone?

Anyways does everyone think the V6 Turbo will ruin the sport?
