Fast Current Shore Setup

The last fish broke off when the main line frayed against bottom structure, but the others broke the leader at the hook. I usually knot the swivel ends with a palmour or trilene knot depending line stifness. At the hook i tend to tie an improved clinch. Theory is if the leader is going to snap, it will happen at the hook end where the weaker knot is. I feel bad when a fish breaks off and has to live with fishing line streaming from its mouth.

Imagine swimming around with a 4 inch rapala stick in the side of your mouth...

You should have a stronger knot at the hook. If the fish breaks off with the hook in it's mouth, it will eventually come out or dissolve. Make sure you check your main line every time before you go out. I like to cut off about 15 ft and then retie my rig. Get the fish into slower water as soon as possible, less pressure in fast water, more pressure on the fish in calmer water.

Let me know how you make out.

:D/> Forum Idiot!

You got that right!! This guy is nothing other than a TROLL! He gets some kind of SICK satisfaction from Baiting every one he can.

To Quote "Grubman"...... "Somebody who patrols an interweb forum or message board and uses childish tactics and droll wit. An absolute detriment to the intelegence to an internet group or society as a whole.

Probably has a unusually small penis.......lol."

Low Self Esteem comes to mind. Which he continues to TRY and prove he doesn't have.

Fished Port D last week, but not much action on the line.
