like the title says which one? the shimano citica or the quantum energy ??? please let me know asap picking one of the two up tonite. thanx

well guys i appreciate your responses, however after seeing, holding, and attaching both of them to rods i went for the energy.

it feels soo smoth just feels like a better reel. I also got a 2 piece 6'6" medium heavy fast actin St.Croix baitcasting for my new setup. $139 for the reel plus 50 rebat and 100 for rod.

Congrats on the sweet new set-up! I thought you'd like the quantum. St. Croix's are very nice. Awesome combo!

How/Where was Quantum Energy PT listed for ? $

I would love to own that too. But that would be overkill for my fishing level. Atleast for now.

One hellava set up for a 1st rod!
Congrats, anyone would love to get a hold of that..Big Bucks No Whammies!

for 129 plus 50 dollar rebate you cant really go wrong. thats like 95 after taxes and rebate for a very decent reel. I mean if you go to lebaron and ask to see sdome lower end daiwas there like 80 plus tax. If you guys are interested in a good baitcaster ... rod or reel let me know ill send you to a good friend of mine.

i got the quantum energy pt. with a 6'6" st croix mh fast action 2 piece rod.

Awesome ! Can't go wrong with a St.Croix rod either, and definetly go for smoothness, thats one of things I look for in any reel I'm looking at purchasing, especially spinning reels. My Shimano Sedona 1500 (spinning) is soo smooth, love ultra-lighting with it all the time. Although personally I would've went after the Citica (since I'm a shimano freak), you can't go wrong with a Quantum, you made a good choice regardless, and was probably cheaper no ? I remember Quantum had the sweetest spinning reels back in the day, forgot the model# I had, but it was comparable to the Shimano reels of the day.. was such a sweet reel, not exactly sure what I did with it

yeah it is a pretty good setup not to heavy either. cant wait to use it. ill give you guys a review on both rod and reel.
