SWEET!! were is the lessly split? I tried to find it through google. can't. lol.

it wanted to change the spelling to that, and i didnt click it cause i didnt know, lol. thank you!! :?

I look forward to fishing there this year n going for a sheephead!

you're welcome :?
the spit is a great place to fish for a variety of species. i've only been there once. but that is only because i'm so out of shape and that walk is super long!!!

Yeah I was looking at that. It could be interesting this year for me, depending on how well my knee heals, hopefully good enough for a bike, lol.

yeah for Google n Wikipedia hehe lol

The red dots are the best spots I've found.

From N to south

The first is where the new power plant is going, salmon in the fall lots of pike but seems to have died right off last couple of years should come back once the plant is online.

2nd is my main spot for pike, big monsters, nice drop off about 10ft out that little channel running between the bays is a sand bar shallow 5ft. The closest bay is shallow lots of carp but not worth the time.
Stick to the second big bay with main access to lake O. Giant lures needed GIANT! Gobbys galore here no worms!

3rd is where I constantly see sheep head jumping, for sure there sheephaed I had to look it up, got nothing to help I still haven't figured these punks out and I dragged a bunch of minnows all the way out there & still just pike!

4th I rarely hit, during salmon season a lot of people there, access to very deep water and u'd be surprised how many people are actually on that point at the right time of year. But then again Ash bridges is 10x closer and just as good.

Hope that helps took me a good summer to get that much info!

one more thing I should add and take it or leave it:

The spit is garbage on overcast windy days the water gets right muddy and the water visibility near zero on these days go somewhere else.
That's my indicator if I should go or not.
great on a sunny day very nice quiet place to spend the day when stuck in the city!
