Thats what I did for my fly road. I got a combo kit at the Spring Boat and Fishing Show in 2011, 80$ i paid for it. I learnt how to use to it, the drag broke on the reel, and then I was fortunate to get a free fly reel from Point Defiance
. I'm getting a good Baitcasting combo from another member on here for a good price as well which im super thankful for as well. Only thing after learning baitcasting is to add a float set up to my arsenal as well lol, which from what I understand since my old fly reel's drag broke all i really need is a float rod because their pretty much the same reel just the float reel doesnt have a drag, its just not a large arbour one. lol.
