Thanks to all who posted for the advice on the aluminums! I was set and ready to buy one but then my ideal boat came up... and then another for even cheaper!

Bass Raider 10 foot for $375 - boots amazing with the 55lb enduramaxx - fits in the back of the truck perfect, hanging 20 inches past the tailgate.

Couldn't ask for a more ideal boat... except limited at 2 people.

If there is anyone in Mississauga who might want to come out sometime pm me, much easier to load/unload with 2. Was a shame fishing from shore last night, need a bigger "fishing friends" list!

I target pike 95% of the time but get a lot of incidental bass. Also trap my own minnows so most often have a stock when I go out.

It surely isn't anything fancy but its the boat I've been dreaming of for the last 9 months.

fishfreek - Depends where I'm fishing... I definitely have way too many under utilized lures though. Especially the $17.99 live target baitball I've put on twice now... I feel guilty every time I open my tackle box for a simple hook :)

I just love using minnows, bobber or not. Now I have the boat I see a lot of light, slow drifted minnows in my future.

I also would like to get into fly fishing... I've been saying that for 2 years now but if I can scrounge some funds might try for a late start this season or early next. Will definitely be posting here for tips on a cheap starter kit haha

The bass raider is also geared for fly-fishing... so versatile I love it!
