well me and Christopher K, decided to go find some ice, first we were thinking of trout, then a report came in about crappies and we were off, with an early morning start, we arrived at the lake around 8, there were guys fishing already, we drilled some holes 5 inches of ice and further out 4 inches, it took us a while and about 100 holes before we found them, but ounce we found them, there was no turning back, with countless of bad hook sets, we slowly started pulling some fish out, after trying a few dozen holes, we found the "spot" and started pounding them, lots of small guys but we didn't mind, then finally a few bigger fish came out to play with 2 fish over 10 inches and one at 12, we were happy with the results, what an awesome way to start the ice season! Chris with a nice keeper in the 10" range:
