Fished the island for bass today...WOW!!

Went to the Island for some bass today, now, I didn`t get anything big, just got one rock bass, I had 2 largmouth on, lost em both,

but boy oh boy, my two friends did allright, one caught 2 largmouth that where pretty nice, I have one pictured here...

This was his second...now my other friend, Tangledline. Now he caught 3 monsters...he will post a report, but that makes five nice bass, I can`t wait to get back there.

which part of the island did you guys go to? wards? hanlan? and what type of lures were you using, never seen a bass that big caught at the island. Good job!!!

HOw about sharing some techniques?

Btw... I at the Island on monday (non fishing) and i noticed several catfish? 12+" or so size all dead laying on the ground. I think I've seen about 3~4.
Why would people kill any fish!

Also water condition looked very good at the island. and there wasn't as much of weeds as I remember compare to last year.

oh yeah... you should try fishing the ward side along those canals. cast near those over hanging/falling tree/branches~

Btw... it seems that those nasty red ants population is growing more and more or something! almost right up the sand beach. Absolutely stay away from woody/bush areas as they will instantly start to cover up your foot and up to your know where.

Nice Bass Fishing Lake Ontario is making a comeback!!! I hope that in time they will clean up the lake enough to be just like Lake Erie.

this was a great day of fishing ...
david kearney fails to mention that we also had a bbq with giant steaks....
the island offers amenities such as washrooms, bbq areas, fresh water.
the fishing report provides the bait and techniques used.
