Wow.

How do you know which ones to use?

Murky waters = bigger bead and brighter colour?
Clear waters = more natural colours?

Yup in clear water start with fresh dropped egg color and gradually go to white and in dirty go big and bright

I found this bead out on the river. Sorry for the out-of focus pic. You fix it in place by inserting the peg into the little hole. The bead is soft hollow plastic. Looks like a good design to me. Anybody else see or use these? Brand?

I'm 99.999999% sure that's an indicator ;)

I'd imagine it would take quite a few split shots to get that "bead" down

Thingamabobber basically a float or indicator when you're on the fly, probably one I lost haha

While we're on the topic of indicators I recommend that nobody buys the sindicators, got a few and the line actually cuts the indicator neck!

I guess you guys are right. You know a lot more about this than I do. But why not use it as a bead when bottom bouncing----you'd have enough weight to take it down. Strike indicator?----so you are supposed to see that tiny thing way out on the river? Better eyes than mine!!

well when you fly fish your definitely not doing a hero drift so no need to see it half a mile downstream, but thats just my take on it

That's what the big indicators are for :D I suppose you could try bottom bouncing it but it doesn't look much like an egg lol
