Fishing by school.

I was looking at a map the other day and saw that the Oshawa creek runs all the way up by UOIT/DC and was wondering if i was allowed to fish that creek. As far as i know there wasn't a rule against it and mnr are closed for the day. Anyone know if i am allowed? It's pretty close to where I live.
