I've adjusted my work schedule to free up some time and look forward to doing a lot more fishing this year. I'm in Waterloo and enjoy fishing Guelph Lake. I also love venturing up to the Bruce Peninsula and fishing some of the more remote lakes. I plan to spend more time exploring the Grand and Conestoga rivers in my canoe in 2012. I'm also looking forward to discovering new fishing areas close to home and maybe making some new fishing buddies this year.

hey there. ive had great success and miserable outings in the grand. just up the river a bit from where the dollhouse used to be, ive had some success casting tubes out. theres some deep pools up and down that section, and ive caught a few decent pike and bass along there, i wouldnt mind trying one of those "canoeing the grand" places and see how the rest of the river is. as for conestoga, ive never fished the river, but i have fished the lake before. not too much walleye ive caught, but i do catch quite a few pike. 35" was my best for pike, but i usually come across alot of 14"-24" pike. i have heard many good things about the river tho. theres apparently some good spots below the dam, and in st jacobs theres supposedly a good deep pool out there somewhere
