Back in April I posted a few Q's about fishing line now since I've had a few chances to try them I can give you guys my opinion.

Berkley Fireline Crystal, so far I'm happy with it I'm using 10#s for pike seems to work well for long casts etc, I still use a 6" black steel leader tho, I think it still needs to be re tied at least before every trip as I did lose one lure due to knot strength fade( I think). I will be using it on 2 other rods 1 10# and 1 6# and see how it performs before I start to use it exclusively. for pike/musky/bass/walleye.

Berkley Vanish, I only used the 4# for trout so far and has worked very well, you can't see the line at all in the water unlike the fireline. I plan to stay using this line for trout and finkey LM bass in 10#.

Spiderwire Original Braid TOTALLY SUCKS.

Spiderwire Mono XXX, I have some of this stuff left so I will eventually use it on my extra rod for friends etc.. pretty good line I've used it for years in my opinion slightly better then the average mono.

Any experiences/suggestions?

I really don`t remember what I have on my rod, I re-lined on one of those drinking days with my bud, cleaning and oiling the rods...I lined with whatever he had, and I really don`t remember much else about that day!

Am I the only guy who still uses regular Trilene mono? I have never used braided line or any of that other no stretch stuff either... am I missing out on something :D

Forgot to mention this about the Berkley fireline the pike I caught felt like monsters! even tho so far all have been under 4#s. That is the main reason why I like it.

Classic...keep using it!

I have used the spiderwire mono xxx. It is thinner than regular mono, and more abreasive resistant but it is stiffer than regular mono so you have to watch your line more carefully when the line is loose. It has a habit of tangling easier on a spinning reel.

Try something new...

I only like P-Line now.

I enjoy using P-Line Floroclear.

P-Line will be my next line to try if I'm not happy with fireline but so far so good.

This year was my first year trying the Berkley Fireline and I must say that I am very happy I did. 8lb test, I Love it.

when i switched to braided line my first line was freline, then i spooled couple of reels with spiderwire, and then bought couple spools of power pro, so no i have 5 reels with diff lines on them, between powerpro and spider wire dont see much of a difference expect power pro is little stronger than spider wire of same diameter.
i like fire line best cause it is the best to untangle, and doesnt absorb water, one down side is that it makes your hands little dirty.

Cool so thats 3+ fireline, I used it for 4 hours of constant casting last saturday, no issues, didn't even get the occasional cast/tangle.

Now I hafta re-line...Been out 7 times this year and already time to switch, going to try the fireline> Hope it`s as good as people say, I am sure I will have no probs.

i have powerpro braid with vanish floro leader
haven't tried anything else except trilene mono. don't like mono tangles too much for me for some reason.

I have a friend who swears by fireline I picked up some power pro this year will be trying it out also got some spiderwire xxx which seems like a nice like pline the extratough line maybe good for a baitcaster combo but it is too brittle for a spinning setup which I mostly use. I also got some DAM line made in Germany which looks decent but I have not spooled it on yet.

DAM is the manufacturer it is packaged similar to this except the line I bought seems to be thinner and different color

I was just at LeBaron and looking for some fishing line. The guys there were telling me the new berkley triline 100% fluorocarbon that a lot of the bass pro's have switched to this line; even some who are sponsored with other companies. They have a new technology call pvdf which is suppose to make it more invisible, and stronger. I bought some and will let you know.
